When, in 1473, Pedro Villandrando, the Count of Ribadeo, provided some of the wine, the wheat and the barley produced in these lands of Fuentes de Duero, to the Church in exchange of some payment, it could not occurred to him that 500 years later the riverÕs influence would keep promoting these fine products.

Many years have gone by, however the Duero River still bathes this land, carrying the alluvial material that enhances the characteristics of these wines, which are the fruit of the sunlight, the soil, the water and the man.
